In a musical career spanning over 4 decades from the rock stages throughout New England and Canada to singer-songwriter venues, Lynn has spent most of her life performing and offering music in a wide variety of ways.
Lynn honed her early musical and stage chops on the New England, high energy rock scene and has since released 4 independent CD’s and collaborated on a 5th CD with Maine songwriting trio “under the song tree,” with notable Maine musicians Anni Clark and Dan Merrill. In 2020, Lynn’s music merged with her mindfulness practice, inviting many lay and monastic friends to contribute to her latest release “Songs from a Peaceful Heart.”
After 17 years of singing in the top-40 club circuit, receiving Maine Female Vocalist of the Year, Lynn began writing her own songs with folk, blues, and gospel influences. Rich, soulful vocals combined with a sharp wit, and dynamic stage presence, have created a continually expanding NE fan base. The Portland Press Herald says “…5 star stage presence…this gal’s got a set of pipes…” Deeves has opened for Cheryl Wheeler, Janis Ian, Catie Curtis, Ellis Paul, America and many others. She was also selected to contribute a track to the “Maine Pink Album” celebrating the 26 top women recording artists in Maine, a benefit compilation for the Maine Breast Cancer Center.
You may have seen Lynn sing as a trio at various venues. One of her trios is with Trina Hamlin and Coleen Sexton. The other is with Robby Coffin and Alfred Lund. Most recently Lynn has become a permanent lead vocalist for Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations.
